Other than the recent issue (which, IMHO Ball handled poorly), dial and hand replacement seems to be quite reasonably priced. My only question is how large is the stockpile of parts and what is Ball's commitment to re manufacturing items when they run out. They seem to be adopting the Rolex model in many ways, I hope this is not one of them. All Luminox Watches have T25 tritium tunes. T100 tubes would be four times brighter. Your watch should be at full brightness for about a decade. Tritium tunes are not nearly as bright as good luminous paint, but are consistent. In a very dark room, is the watch legible? If so, your watch is probably normal. Finally, on a personal level, all this discussion really makes me hope that Rolex will reintroduce the pepsi and coke versions of the GMT --- the night/day division of blue/red or black/red just adds to the functionality of the watch, especially given your insights on how the 24-hour hand "tracks the sun."
The hands and hour markers on this watch feature Trinite luminous paint. As you can see in the photo above, the glow of the watch is very well and lasts a bit longer than the 8928. However, similar to the 8928, the bezel pearl at 12 O'clock does not seem to hold a glow as well as the rest of the markers do -- most likeley due to its smaller size.
